The Sacrament of Baptism is a joyous occasion for the person being baptized and his or her family, but also for our entire faith community. Through the Sacrament of Baptism, an individual is freed from the power of original sin, is claimed as an adopted daughter or son of God and is welcomed into a faith community. Our entire parish family rejoices when new members are welcomed, and we look forward to welcoming you!
Each of us is called to the sacrament of baptism at the time and place in our lives that God desires. Some of us receive this gift as infants; others find their way to God’s family as adults. Our church welcomes all who seek to grow in relationship with God. At St. Timothy we offer programs to help prepare both adults and infants, as well as their families, to celebrate the Sacrament of Baptism.
Adults who wish to be baptized participate in the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA). Click here for more details on the RCIA program.
