The sacrament of Confirmation is celebrated annually with a visit from our regional bishop. This sacrament celebrates the individual's completion of his or her initiation into the Catholic Church, a process begun on the day of Baptism and nourished through reception of the Eucharist.
Preparation for the sacrament of Confirmation takes place over one year, usually for students in the 9th or 10th grades. The preparation is part of our Faith Formation Ministry Program, which seeks to form children/students not only in the knowledge of their faith but also in the habitual practice of our faith through worship, service, learning and community. These four pillars of the program are developed through a variety of classes, activities and liturgies offered to youth throughout the two years.
